Daniel Baggerly Turns Focus to VMS Following Top Five at Harris
(RURAL RETREAT, VIRGINIA) The B&B Motorsports team and driver Daniel Baggerly returned to racing action in the state of North Carolina in a pair of events from June 18-20. Things kicked off on Thursday evening at Fayetteville Motor Speedway in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Daniel clicked off the fastest lap in Limited Late Model qualifying to earn the pole position for the $1,500 to win feature event. The Rural Retreat, Virginia ace then grabbed the lead on the opening circuit, but unfortunately hooked a rut in turns three and four, which spun him around and into an incident with the second place runner. With heavy nose damage to his CVR mount, Daniel was forced to retire in the thirteenth position.
On Saturday night, the #16 team rolled into Harris Motor Speedway in Harris, North Carolina, as the FUEL Racing Series presided over a $3,000 to win throwdown. Daniel knocked down the fourth fastest lap during the time trial session and later finished fourth in the fast dash. On a one-groove racetrack in the feature, Daniel primarily rode in line to a fifth place performance behind only winner Ross Bailes, Brett Hamm, Trent Ivey, and Forest Trent! Next up for the B&B Motorsports team is a planned visit to the state-of-the-art Virginia Motor Speedway in Jamaica, Virginia this Saturday evening, June 27.
