Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series Postponed at Moler Raceway Park June 26

Williamsburg, OH- June 26, 2015- The Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series event scheduled for this evening Friday June 26 at Moler Raceway Park in Williamsburg, OH has been postponed.

Heavy overnight rains moved through the area late Thursday evening and early Friday morning have left the grounds extremely wet, along with local forecasts for more rains and possible severe weather later on during the afternoon and evening on Friday has caused Moler Raceway Park track officials to postpone tonight’s scheduled Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series event. A make-up date is being looked into and when a suitable date that is agreeable for both the track and series is reached, a make-up date when then be announced.

The Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series will next be in competition at Florence Speedway in Union, KY on Saturday June 27 and the event will feature the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series in a full program of practice, A-B group time trials, qualifying heats, B-Mains, and a 30 lap, $1,500 to win/$200 to start A-Main event presented by Time Auto Sales. Other divisions joining the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series at Florence Speedway on Saturday June 27 will be the track’s Super Late Model ($2,000 to win), Pure Stock, and Hornet divisions. Entry fee for the Summit Racing Equipment Modified Series is $50 and, per UMP DirtCar rules for Modifieds, beginning June 1, there is NO grooving of rear tires. The legal tire compounds are A40, A40S, and H40 only. Also, Florence Speedway uses the Westhold style transponder scoring system and if drivers do not have their own transponder, there is a $10 rental fee for a transponder.

Activities for the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series event at Florence Speedway on Saturday June 27 will see the pit area open at 4:00 p.m. and the general admission area open at 5:30 p.m. The drivers meeting will be at 5:45 p.m., with practice set to begin at 6:00 p.m., followed immediately by time trials and green flag racing at 7:30 p.m. All times listed are Eastern Daylight Times. Ticket prices for the event at Florence Speedway on Saturday June 27 in the general admission area will be $18 for adults, $2 for children ages 6 to 11, with children ages 6 and under free, while a pit pass will be $35.
