When putting a northern sport mod together what is the consensus on the lower trailing arms being angled in at the front or straight forward? How much should they angle In if they should be? And why should they be angled in? What effects does it have on the chassis with them angled In as opposed to straight or angled out?

The only thing that angling the links (toeing the links is how I like to think about it) is that you can affect roll steer as the chassis hikes. As you angle the right rear link inward toward the center of the car it will increase roll steer when the chassis hikes up due to the panhard bar causing the rear end to travel to the left which then forces the right rear bar to straighten out and push the housing rearward. The same thing happens with the left rear bar. As you angle it inward toward the center of the car it will create more roll steer.

The issue you have here is when a link starts toed inward, then is toed outward within the amount of roll that you experience. This produces an increase in roll steer initially, then a decrease in roll steer. As you can imagine this makes the car less consistent and less predictable. On a 2 link the right rear bar can certainly have his situation.

Just run 'em straight and forget about it...
