This has to be one of the worst seasons in the history of Dirt Late Model Racing. Mother Nature has claimed so many events this season. I can't remember a season with so many cancellations. Can you?

Here in SW Mo. Weve had 12 scheduled nites at our home track. Its had 8 rainouts. 66% rainouts. Not been alot of fun on Friday nites here.

It was intense heat a few years ago 100 + for the Summer Nationals. A few races cancelled due to heat. We can't seem to hit it right anymore.

Yes, remember it well. I'd take some of that summer Hell Tour heat right about now.

I personally have had 13 races scheduled so far, Ive seen 8 races I got rained out twice at the track & had a total of 5 rainouts with 3 calling it off before I left the house. Im going to have a tough time getting my 22-25 race quota in this year.

If it hadn't been for me going to Volusia this year I don't think I would get near 20 myself for the year. This is the wettest spring/summer I can us having in a few years.

If you don't like rain head west to California where rain is a foreign word this year. Worst drought in several decades and the water agencies want big cutbacks in usage. Almost considering switching to asphalt because it's either take the weekly shower or wash the car. On top of that we've got brutal over 100 degree temps. Different miseries for different folks.
