Billy Moyer Back on Summer Nationals Tour After Sixth in Ray Houck Liberty 50

(BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS) With rain blanketing much of the Midwest over the June 26-27 weekend, Billy Moyer Racing (BMR) snuck north to Adams County Speedway in Corning, Iowa on Saturday evening for the 'Ray Houck Liberty 50.' The Lucas Oil MLRA Series, Corn Belt Clash, and MARS DIRTcar Series tri-sanctioned the single-day showdown and a $5,000 top prize was on the line.

Billy Moyer ran third in his loaded heat race and later started seventh on the grid in the 50-lap main event. During the course of the 'Ray Houck Liberty 50,' Billy climbed up inside of the top five before eventually settling for a sixth place effort. "Mr. Smooth" trailed only winner Jesse Stovall, Earl Pearson, Jr., Chris Spieker, Kyle Berck, and Ryan Gustin at the checkers. Complete results from Adams County Speedway can be viewed online at www.mlraracing.com.

The #21 BMR team will look to beat Mother Nature and the competition this week (July 1-4) in four UMP DIRTcar Summer Nationals throwdowns in the states of Indiana and Illinois. Up first will be a pair of $5,000 to win events starting tonight at Daugherty Speedway in Boswell, Indiana and on Thursday at LaSalle Speedway in LaSalle, Illinois. The huge holiday weekend will then wrap up with two $10,000 to win programs on Friday at Fayette County Speedway in Brownstown, Illinois and on Saturday at Highland Speedway in Highland, Illinois.
