New Red Clay Racing Surface is Now on the Track!
As promised by the promotion trio of Larry, Chad, and Sarah Yantz, Richmond Raceway has been completely resurfaced with new red clay dirt and two nights of racing has already been contested on the new clay. The track resurfacing project took place when the track was closed during the first week of June.
Firecracker 30 for REVELution Race Cars Pro Late Models at Richmond Raceway July 4!
The REVELution Race Cars Pro Late Models will be highlighted in their highest paying to win event of the season on Saturday July 4 at Richmond Raceway as America celebrates it’s 239th birthday and Richmond Raceway invites you out a great night of dirt track racing and FIREWORKS as well. The Firecracker 30 will see the Pro Late Model division race for $1,500 to win, while a full regular show racing card is on the docket for the Barry Turner of Century 21 Advantage Realty Super Late Models, Modifieds, KDRA Super Stocks, Four Cylinder, and Warlock Race Cars Mini-Cup/Cyclones.
Richmond Raceway Presents “Butterball” Tune-Up July 11!
Richmond Raceway will present the “Butterball” Tune-Up event on Saturday July 11 and will see the Barry Turner of Century 21 Advantage Realty Super Late Models race for $2,000 and the Super Late Model feature that evening will also be guaranteed a starting spot in the “Butterball” event the next week. Modifieds, REVELution Race Cars Pro Late Models, KDRA Super Stocks, and Four Cylinders will also be in action on July 11. The Warlock Race Cars Mini-Cup/Cyclone division will be on off.
28th Annual Sunoco Race Fuel Paul “Butterball” Wooldridge Memorial $10,028 to win July 18!
The 28th Annual Sunoco Race Fuels Paul “Butterball” Wooldridge Memorial will take place on Saturday July 18 and will see the Southern Nationals Bonus Series presented by Collins Signs sanction the Super Late Model portion of the event, paying $10,028 to win, with Modifieds racing for $1,000 to win and KDRA Super Stocks in action for $800 to win that evening as well, along with a special feature event for the Warlock Race Cars Mini-Cup/Cyclone division, while REVELution Race Cars Pro Late Models and Four Cylinders will be off, however, Pro Late Models can compete with the Super Late Models that evening, but it will be using the Super Late Model track tire rule. There will be an open practice for all divisions on Friday July 17 and a cookout will follow the practice. Also as part of the “Butterball”, there will be the “Butterball” Dash that will consist of the Super Late Model feature winners at Richmond Raceway in 2015 that are not in the show via a heat or b-main, plus the top point earners in the division heading into July 18 and the dash winner will get a starting spot in the “Butterball”. Also, per the Southern Nationals Bonus Series presented by Collins Signs, the highest finishing driver using a Crate engine in the A-Main will receive a $200 bonus, the highest finishing driver using a 525 series engine will receive a $200 bonus, and the highest finishing driver using a Steel Head/SPEC engine will receive a $200 bonus.
