Tazewell Speedway Postpones $3,050 Late Model race to Saturday July 4th due to Rain
TAZEWELL, TN (June 28, 2015)—After rains washed out Friday’s program, Tazewell Speedway has decided to push racing action and the Steel Head Championship race until Saturday Night July 4th.
The Tazewell Limited Late Models will take to the high banks of Tazewell Speedway on Saturday Night July 4th during the Independence Day Weekend special event paying $3,050-to-win. Along with the Steel Head special, the Late Model Sportsman will race 20 laps for $700-to-win and the Super Stocks will run Fall Brawl rules and run 20 laps for $500-to-win. The Classics and Four Cylinders will have the night off.
Tazewell Late Model rules apply for this event. There will be a $50.00 Entry Fee. The format will feature a Dash for Cash for the top-four qualifiers, Last Chance Heat Races and the 40-lap $3,050-to-win main event. The tire rule as follows: Rear tires must punch 56 prior to racing action (Hoosier and American Racer tires allowed). Open front compounds. Tire samples will be taken for this event.
Adult General Admission for this Saturday July 4th special event is $15.00 and Adult Pit Passes are $30.00. During intermission, Fireworks will light up the night sky. Both the pit and grandstand gates will open at 5:00 pm. The driver’s meeting will be at 6:45, wheel packing will begin at 7:00 pm and hot laps will roll out around 7:45 pm.
Last week’s winners included Josh Collins in the Late Models, Kurt Owens in the Super Stocks, Chuck McMahan in the Four Cylinders, Anthony Burchett in the Late Model Sportsman and John Stevens in the Classic feature event.
