Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series Doubleheader at Chandler July 17, Clarksville July 18
Glasgow, KY-July 10, 2015- The Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series will return to action with a doubleheader of racing action on Friday July 17 at Chandler Motor Speedway in Chandler, IN and Saturday July 18 at Clarksville Speedway in Clarksville, TN. Both events will feature 30 lap/$1,500 to win/$200 to start A-Mains.
The trip to Chandler Motor Speedway will mark the tour’s second visit to the Chandler, IN track, as Brian Shaw of Robinson, IL won on the tour’s first ever visit there back in May of this year, while the trip to Clarksville Speedway will mark the tour’s third ever visit to the Clarksville, TN facility that has seen previous winners include Clayton Miller of Elkton, KY (March 2015) and Lucas Lee of Paris, TN (2014).
The Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series will be in competition at Chandler Motor Speedway in Chandler, IN on Friday July 17 and the event will feature the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series in a full program of practice, A-B group time trials, qualifying heats, B-Mains, and a 30 lap, $1,500 to win/$200 to start A-Main. Other divisions joining the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series at Chandler Motor Speedway on Friday July 17 will be the track’s Street Stock, Pure Stock, and Mini Stock divisions. Entry fee for the Summit Racing Equipment Modified Series is $50 and, per UMP DirtCar rules for Modifieds, beginning June 1, there is NO grooving of rear tires. The legal tire compounds are A40, A40S, and H40 only.
Activities for the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series event at Chandler Motor Speedway on Friday July 17 will see the pit area and general admission area open at 5:00 p.m. The drivers meeting will be at 7:15 p.m., with practice set to begin at 7:30 p.m., followed immediately by time trials and green flag racing at 8:00 p.m. All times listed are Central Daylight Times. Ticket prices for the event at Chandler Motor Speedway on Friday July 17 in the general admission area will be $15 for adults, while a pit pass will be $30.
