I have a metric clip with Nova lowers and pinto spindles , it is also a 3-link I will be running a 3/8 mile medium bank track . What would be a good starting point with the spring rates and shocks. The car wieghts 2750 with driver

Call your chassis builder

It's an older chassis has 711 race cars welded on frame trying to get some track time to learn and move into a new chassis in near future

Get a set of blisteins 50/30lf 60/40rf 30/30rr 10/90lr. Have an experienced driver drive the car and make sure it close and something simple isn't messed up.

I agree with powerslide on the shocks, that will get you pretty close. front springs we have been running are rf 500 lf 400 or 450 depends on how tight the entry is. Rears depend on if your on sliders or on top of the housing.

Springs are behind rear end I started with rf 650. 75shock. lf 600 76shock rr175.94 shock Lr200. 94 shock

yes sir a 550 or 500 rf on metric nova. I do a lot of work to get more clearance on the right front which u can do to the frame but hardly anyone does because its too much work on the metric chassis. its easier to buy a bunch of parts then cheat them up when you weld it together. lol. As for the rear springs the rr looks ok but if you are trying to hike and roll the car like most mods are doing these days the lr needs to be in the 100 to 125 range 16" to 20" long.

We have used the same springs on pierce cars too. As long as it is fairly smooth it really turns in nice. Are you running imca because the rear springs have to be no longer than 13" springs and have to be mounted on the housing. either way soft lr to get the hike. use the bar angle to lift the car also.

You also need a hold up shock on the lr to make it all work. a 94 shock wont work with that type of set up. the 94 is ok on the rr. put a 75 or 74 on the lf also. 76 is too stiff

when you put in the spring pockets we straighten the frame to the pockets. no more bulge around the spring. pinto spindles. straight tie rod, just clearance the frame for the tie rod. usually I just heat the frame and pound it in for the tie rod clearance.

I forgot we have used metric spindles too but we usually use a bent tie rod with those.

basically all of it. yes imca. so its almost topped out in the pits, we dont race in the pits.
