Ponderosa Speedway’s 5th Annual Weekend Warrior Rescheduled to Saturday August 1
Junction City, KY-July 21, 2015- Ponderosa Speedway track promoter Jerry Denson is pleased to announce the rescheduled date for the 5th Annual Weekend Warrior event that was postponed on June 19 and June 26 due to wet weather conditions as the event has been rescheduled at the 3/8 mile D-shaped red clay oval known as “Kentucky’s Baddest Bullring” for SATURDAY August 1.
With the rescheduling of the 5th Annual Weekend Warrior event to SATURDAY August 1, the originally scheduled racing program for that weekend on Friday July 31 has been cancelled. Also, the Good Neighbor Pharmacy Super Late Models will have the weekend off and will not be in competition.
Ponderosa Speedway will present the 5th Annual Weekend Warrior on SATURDAY August 1 and will feature the Premier Integrity Solutions Pro Late Models in action for $1,000 to win in a 30 lap main event, along with the Lawson Tractor Sales and Service KDRA Super Stocks in action in a $600 to win 20 lap feature contest. Joining the rescheduled Weekend Warrior racing card on SATURDAY August 1 will be the Sweet Beans and Things Modifieds racing for $700 to win in a 20 lap main event, along with Four Cylinders racing for $300 to win and Hardees Mini-Cup/Cyclones racing for $100 to win. All divisions will utilize the practice/time trials combo format to determine heat race starting positions. RACEceivers are mandatory in all divisions and transponder timing/scoring is used. Drivers will pick up their transponders at the driver registration window and drivers need to be signed in by the time of the drivers meeting at 7:00 p.m.
Activities for the rescheduled 5th Annual Weekend Warrior racing program at Ponderosa Speedway on SATURDAY August 1 will see the pit area and general admission area open at 4:00 p.m. The drivers meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m., with practice laps set to start at 7:30 p.m., while racing will take the green flag at 8:30 p.m. All times are Eastern Daylight Times. Tickets price information and division payouts will be announced in a press release over the weekend.
