MOWA Wing Sprint Cars Make Their Only Appearance At Macon Speedway Saturday Night Macon Speedway will host its only 410 Winged Sprint Car event this Saturday Night July 25th. The MOWA sprint cars weigh 1600 lbs and boast 410 cubic inch motors fueled by methanol producing upwards of 850 horsepower. Combine the weight to horsepower ratio and the tight tricky 1/5 mile of Macon Speedway and you’re sure to see impressive wheel to wheel racing action. The stop at Macon Speedway is part of Illinois Sprint Week. With the tour running 4 different tracks in 4 days, Macon will be day three for the Sprint Week Tour as they also run Quincy Raceway on Thursday, Tri City Speedway Friday and Jacksonville Speedway on Sunday. The Series has produced 7 different winners in 8 races this season and the drivers are excited about four straight days of racing on the tour. Also racing this Saturday Night will be the Billingsley Towing Modifieds, Street Stocks, Sportsman, Hornets, and the Illinois Lightning Sprint Series. General admission is $18 for adults, with children 11 and under admitted free of charge. Pits will open Saturday at 4:00, grandstands at 5:00, hotlaps will begin at 6:00 shortly after the pill draw ends and racing will begin at 7:00. Don’t forget to sign the kids up for the Great Go Kart Giveaway. Macon Speedway will be giving away two go karts on Saturday September, 19th. B-Mods Offered $50 Billingsley Towing Bonus At Macon Speedway With the B-Modifieds being a relatively new division to Macon Speedway, a light schedule was put together for the 2015 season. As the race season reaches the mid part of summer a $50 bonus has been offered to the highest finishing B-mod when they opt to race with the Billingsley Towing Modifieds. Billingsley Towing and Macon Speedway thought it would be a good to give to the B-Mod division especially since they don’t have any regular events scheduled for the next few weeks. So any legal B-Mod that would like to race will be eligible for the bonus. Macon Speedway asks that all B-Mod cars place the letter B on the driver’s side pillar or in the corner of the roof by the driver’s side to help officials distinguish the B-Mod cars in attendance. The Billingsley Towing Modifieds race this Saturday Night July 25 with MOWA Sprints, Street Stocks, Sportsman, Hornets, and the Illinois Lightning Sprint Series.
