I like to read this stuff. It is crazy to think that Moyer hasn't won this race in the last 10 years. I remember when there were sponsors putting a bounty out for anybody who could beat Moyer at the Nationals.

Thanks Buster, I appreciate it.......and yes JDZ, I remember those days too, Moyer won 5 of the first 6 races here if I recall and then Jack beat him to claim the bounty because I was there in '94 when they made mention of the (winking of the eye) so called bounty :), I know the guys I was sitting with had over 200 bucks on the race betting against Moyer, and I had 20 bet on the Iceman to win and he ended up 5th........ahhhh yes, great memories indeed !

We were sitting in a box in Turn 4 in 1994. I think there were a lot of people cheering for Jack Boggs and Jim Curry.

You just said it right there JDZ, one of the most consistent and best Harry Gant impersonating drivers to ever compete at Cedar Lake JDZ and that's Jim Curry. For a handful of years Jim was always in the top 5 or so it seemed. 3-2-2-3-9-14 in a half dozen years if I recall my old stats. That man could wheel a late model, one of the best drivers I ever watched who never got the right amount of notoriety ! One of my all time favorites along with Purvis, the Iceman and the Cowboy !

The old announcer at Cedar Lake was the best. I think somebody on here recalled his name a few years back, but I can't remember it. He would walk around the pits and stands before the racing and interview people. In '95, after finishing 2nd the previous two years, Jim Curry gave an entertaining interview about how Cedar Lake was just like a woman that just never wanted to settle down with him. (me paraphrasing) John Gill gave good interviews, too. Those two drivers from Indiana were well-liked. And Jimmy Mars is still one of my favorites, being a Cedar Lake local.
