Putting really serious thought into going to the Southern Nationals race on Saturday at Tazewell. Havent been there in a long time. Anybody know if they allow coolers into their general admission area? How many cars can I expect and what time does the race get over? Info like that would be greatly appreciated

Wow 20-25 cars? Figured they at least get 30. Will Randy Weaver be there? Never seen him race. What time will they get it over? Its 2 1/2 hr drive for me one way

They get in the mid 20s for the lucas and woo races there. I'm guessing guys don't show up there anymore because it's so hard on equipment. As a fan that place looks awesome, as a driver/owner not sure I'd want to take my stuff there. Not that it gets rough, it just seems there always a lot torn up or broken equipment by the end of the night.

They run a pretty tidy show. You should be heading out by 10 or 10:30 local time. They don't pull many cars as previously stated, and the 116 won't be one of them.

What will be the race format for the supers show saturday? Will they run heats for this show or will they lock in the first how many ever from time trials and run consys?

They've been taking the top four in qualifying and having those guys run a four lap dash for the first four starting spots on the grid with everyone else running heats/consis/what have you.

Ok..Do they allow lawn chairs anywhere or just on the top row of the bleachers? Where would be good spot to sit at? Been a long time since i been there so this is almost like my first time going lol. It might actually be my 2nd time

The front stretch stands are just a hillside so you'll need a chair. There's some bleachers at the top of the grandstands area, but you'll have a better view sitting in a chair on the hillside.
