Richmond Raceway Idle August 1 and August 8
Richmond Raceway will be closed on Saturday August 1 or Saturday August 8. The track will be closed August 1 in support of the 2015 Madison County Fair and the track will be closed on Saturday August 8 in observance of the North/South 100 at Florence Speedway in Union, KY.
Century 21 Advantage Realty presents Butch Shay Memorial on Saturday August 15!
Racing action will return to Richmond Raceway on Saturday August 15 as the track will partner with Century 21 Advantage Realty to present the Century 21 Advantage Realty Client/Agent Night Butch Shay Memorial on Saturday August 15. The Barry Turner of Century 21 Advantage Realty Super Late Models will race 21 laps for $2,100 to win in their main event, while the Modified division will follow suit and also contest a 21 lap, $2,100 to win main event. Also on the August 15 racing card will be a full racing program for the REVELution Race Cars Pro Late Models ($600 to win), KDRA Super Stocks ($500 to win), Four Cylinders ($300 to win), and Warlock Race Cars Mini-Cup/Cyclones ($100 to win). The event will honor the memory of the late Butch Shay, who was a long-time competitor at Richmond Raceway in both the Super Late Model and Modified divisions, having raced at the track at various times over the course of five different decades. Century 21 Advantage Realty has partnered with Richmond Raceway for the event as their top ten realtors in this area will be in attendance to assist with the event’s festivities and will also provide the pace cars for the event.
Saturday Night Showdown Sees American Dirt Allstars Return on August 29!
Richmond Raceway will present the Saturday Night Showdown event on Saturday August 29 and will feature the AR Bodies American Dirt Allstars sanctioned KDRA Super Stocks in a $1,000 to win event and Four Cylinders will compete for $500 to win. Also on the Saturday Night Showdown racing docket on August 29 will be Barry Turner of Century 21 Advantage Realty Super Late Models ($1,200 to win), Modifieds ($800 to win), REVELution Race Cars Pro Late Models ($600 to win), and Warlock Race Cars Mini-Cup/Cyclones ($100 to win).
Revelution Race Cars Iron Man Speedweek presented by Arizona Sport Shirts September 5!
The inaugural Colonel Classic will take place at Richmond Raceway on Saturday September 5 and will be sanctioned by the Southern Nationals Bonus Series presented by Collins Signs as part of the Revelution Race Cars 2015 Iron Man Speedweek presented by Arizona Sport Shirts. The Super Late Models will race for $3,000 to win that evening, while the Modifieds will be part of the American Racer Tire Modified Iron Man Speedweek presented by Arizona Sport Shirts and will pay $1,000 to win that same evening. Also as part of the Colonel Classic, the KDRA Super Stocks will race for $500 to win, Four Cylinders will race for $300 to win, and Warlock Race Cars Mini-Cup/Cyclones will race for $100 to win, while the Pro Late Model division will have the night off, but are encouraged to compete with the Super Late Models that evening if they choose to do so, as there will be a $200 bonus to the highest finisher driver that make the event utilizing a crate powered race car.
Richmond Raceway Adds September 26 Meet the Drivers Night to 2015 Schedule!
Richmond Raceway is pleased to announce it has added a date to its 2015 race schedule as the Meet the Drivers Night originally scheduled to take place August 29 will now take place on Saturday September 26, featuring a full program of racing in all divisions, with the race fans able to meet and greet with the drivers on the track after practice/time trial laps are completed that evening. There will still be racing on August 29, as that event will feature the rescheduled Saturday Night Showdown.
