Jimmy Elliott Notches Runner-Up Finish at Fort Payne with UCRA
Cleveland, Tennessee (08/12/15) – After battling more than his fair share of bad luck over the past few months, Jimmy Elliott was able to finally get things pointed in the right direction on Saturday night. The pilot of the Car Smart Auto Sales #J39 CVR Race Car raced to a runner-up finish with the United Crate Racing Alliance (UCRA) at Fort Payne Motor Speedway.
Jimmy Elliott headed to Fort Payne Motor Speedway (Fort Payne, Alabama) on Saturday night for a United Crate Racing Alliance (UCRA) event. Via his qualifying effort Elliott earned the 5th starting spot for the $2,500-to-win A-Main. Battling in the top five for all 40 laps, Jimmy ultimately scored a runner-up finish behind Kasey Hall with Anthony White, Todd Morrow and Kyle May rounding out the top five.
“After the way that our luck has been going for the past several races I would’ve been happy to just finish this one,” laughed Elliott. “However, to get a 2nd place finish feels really good. Hopefully this means our luck is changing.”
