The Fayetteville, Georgia based USCS Winged Outlaw will make their annual visit to Senoia Raceway this Friday and Saturday, August 21st and 22nd for the USCS Senoia Summer Nationals VI. The 120 mile per hour USCS winged sprint cars headline the huge two-day weekend of racing event, but will be joined by the Senoia Raceway Super Late Model and Limited Late Model competitors as well. Joe Armistead, Jr., Clint Smith, Austin Horton and Glenn Morris will also dazzle the grandstand faithful with speeds in excess of 100 miles per hour, too.

“This weekend’s racing card will feature the fastest cars in the state for two days,” said track promoter Mayes Massey. “The winged outlaw sprints will flat foot the cars the whole way around.”

The United Sprint Car Series portion of the event expects to draw winged sprint car drivers from at least six states including several of the series 2015 feature winners. Heading the entry list is Terry Gray from Bartlett, Tennessee who is the current National points leader and a ten-time USCS National Champion. Gray is a three-time winner at the Senoia Summer Nationals.

Also entered is his 22 year-old teammate, Morgan Turpen from Cordova, Tennessee who is the only female sprint car driver expected to compete. Turpen is a six-time USCS feature winner and the top ranked female sprint car driver in the nation. She currently trails Gray in the national tour point standings.

This year’s field of entries is expected to be the best ever for the Senoia Summer Nationals. Other sprint car entries include defending Senoia Summer Nationals champion, Eric Riggins, Jr. from Charlotte, North Carolina. Riggins clean swept the racing action last year.

Other entries include 2013 USCS National Champion Derek Hagar from Marion, Arkansas; Marshall Skinner also from Marion, Arkansas who is a past series Champion; Johnny Bridges from Cherryville, North Carolina who won the Senoia Summer Nationals in 2012 and Florida hot shoe and former regional sprint car titlist Danny Martin, Jr. is expected. Martin won the series 2014 season opener and is one of the drivers in the series top ten list of feature winners.

The popular Senoia Raceway Super and Limited Late Model divisions expects to see driver entries from at least three states as most area tracks have the weekend off for various reasons. The Limited Late Models will join the show on Friday night with the Super Late Models complimenting the sprint cars on Saturday night.

“You are not going to see the sprint cars and super late models on the same ticket anywhere in this part of the country this year,” added Massey. “You will see the fastest of the fast for only $20 on Saturday night.”

Increased bonus purses are offered in all Senoia Raceway divisions on the schedule. Friday night the Limited Late Models, B-Cadet, Hobby and Mini Stock will be racing. On Saturday evening, the Super Late Models, B-Cadets, Hobby and Bomber divisions compete along with the Sprint Cars and Mini Sprints.

Grandstand admission prices to the event are as follows: Friday night‘s Adult grandstand admission is $15 and youth 6-12 years old is $5. On Saturday night Adult grandstand admission is $20 and youth 5-12 years are $10. Children 4 years and younger are FREE both nights.
