USCS Outlaw Thunder Tour sprint cars headline Lavonia Speedway's “FAST and FURIOUS FRIDAY" Labor Day weekend speed spectacular on FRIDAY, September 4th at 7:30 pm

Atlanta, GA – August 29, 2015 – The United Sprint Car Series Outlaw Thunder Tour presented by K&N Filters winged sprint cars invades Lavonia Speedway in Lavonia, Georgia on Friday, September 4th at 7:30 pm for the speedway's “Fast and Furious Friday” Labor Day weekend speed spectacular. The track was newly re-modeled in 2014 and has always been a USCS driver and fan favorite over the past 19 seasons and was on the series inaugural season schedule on July 4, 1997 when Tim Crawley from Benton, Arkansas .

The series last visited Lavonia Speedway last season on Thursday, July 17, 2014 when the 2014 USCS National Champion, Terry Gray from Bartlett, Tennessee was the first driver to reach the finish line and parked his mount in the www.rockauto.com USCS Victory Lane after their main event.

Gray and his yam-mate Morgan Turpen , who are tied for the USCS National points lead coming into Friday's event at Lavonia. Gray is an eleven time USCS Champion and has 8 career USCS feature wins. Morgan Turpen who hails from Cordova, Tennessee was the 2010 USCS Rookie of the Year and has a career USCS total of 6 feature wins.

Other expected potent USCS sprint car driver entries include two-time 2014 and 2015 feature winner and past Johnny Bridges from Cherryville, North Carolina and four time -time 2015 USCS feature winner, 20 year-old young gun Eric Riggins, Jr. from Charlotte, North Carolina. Additionally another 2014 USCS feature winner, Lance Moss also from Cherryville, North Carolina is entered.

Those five drivers and current USCS Rookie of the Year points leader, 16 year-old Nick Snyder from Marco Island, Florida lead a strong contingent of drivers lead from at least seven states into Friday’s speed contest at the famed Northeast Georgia oval with each looking for a chance to park in the www.rockauto.com USCS Victory Lane..

In addition to the 130 mile per hour USCS winged sprint cars the speedway's popular Limited Late Models, Fastrak Pro Late Models, Hobby, Modified Street, Stock Four, Stock Eight, and Front Wheel Drive divisions all compete on an action packed racing card.
