has anyone had good luck with 40 degrees upper bar angle compared to 45 degrees....and had had better drive???

If you just lower it on the frame end a hole, then you have less rear steer which very well may feel like more drive...

Best to try things like this yourself. Every car is different and driver.

Lowering the LRU has a significant influence upon the chassis. Key is to have birdcages indexed properly so you know what is going on back there. Rear steer is NOT always less when lowering the link. So much more to it than that. To keep it simple it's about positioning thrust angle to your specific needs and loading the coils for enhanced fraction capabilities

Depends a lot on how you are measuring your angle. If you jack up under the seat and set it at 45* your results will differ from someone setting theirs at 45* sitting on jack stands... Like SCD said, 45* is only a starting point.
