Ray Tucker was awesome in that ride. Also as said earlier billy Hicks, Steve Lucas, Don't remember Hot Rod driving but could well be, Paul Croft, Terry Cardwell I think. Lots of good shoes sat in that one. J.D. may be the best though or a least in it at the best time.

Booper Bare did drive that car, I believe it was after Hicks drove it. I remember it always had a saw blade around the 6 when those 2 drove it. I don't remember Madden ever driving it. He did drive a #6 car in his early years, it was sponsored by crown fiber and was grey and blue.

The 6 was always a threat to win whomever was driving at Cherokee Speedway in the late 80's & 90's.
I believe the most upset I've ever been at a race was when either Paul Croft or Terry Cardwell took out Freddy Smith on the last lap to Win a $3000 to Win race. Man, I was like NO WAY I will ever pull for that car.
Now, I find myself cheering the 6 on, cause I consider the Lee Roy Rumley Machine to be a Local Team to us Carolina Dirt Race Fans. Now with Kevin using those Engineering Skills they are a threat across the National Landscape and I love it.

Aren't some of you confusing the 6 of Crowder Logging with the Rumley #6 as to drivers in the seats?

Yes, I believe some are confusing the Rumley #6 with the Crowder #6.

Madden drove the Crowder #6 and I'm pretty sure they purchased his New Longhorn.

The Rumley #6 has always been Black for as long as I can remember, with the Crowder #6 usually being mostly White.

Let clarify Brian Vickers. It was the six car wrapped with a red bull sponsor

Big fan of the rumley family. Good good folks. Well deserving of the year they are having. With Lee Roy being 79 this year couldn't have come at a better time! Should have already been on the dirt late model hall of fame. So hope they win the Lucas title for no one but Lee Roy!

For you history buffs, go on You Tube and search for Rumley Racing : Early Years Vol. 1 & 2 and you will see the beginnings of Rumley Racing and the #6.....driver Jimmy Rumley and I suspect old Lee Roy was building that 292.

Lee Roy....I gotta kick out of him last weekend. I was around that car several times in the pits. He was within an arms length of that engine every time. That one must've been very special to him. One very smart engine man there.

I think it's cool a family backed team is doing so well, not something you see very often now days.

David Moyer...haven't heard that name in forever.

Quite the wheelman back in the day.

The #92 was always a Sharp Ride!!

Don't remember him driving the #6, but I believe you.
