Awesome! Wonder how well she'd maneuver in traffic.

Could be wrong but I believe that looks to be one of the outlaw late models they run up there weekly with a modified body and sail boards. Looks like one of the old Balough or Hanley cars from the early 80s. Those guys were ahead of their time.

There is also a 50 lap feature on YouTube from this year.

I hope he changed valve springs after those laps!

If his valve springs were done after that he should find a new supplier

That's 136 mph average speed on a 3/8 mile, he was haulin and could have likely got more out of it if he pushed to the wall on the straights.

that is an asphalt late model that runs around the southwest michigan, and northern indiana area. they run that race every year at kalamazoo and it is the first time that anything has ever went in the 9 second range.

That video is like watching a slot car go around the track. Unreal. Still not as good as dirt, but pretty awesome.

I didn't know if it was a true dirt lm chassis, but I just knew they had the wedge body and sideboards.

He had that thing singing too. Wow.

I thought it was cool hearing the reaction of the crowd the faster he got. It would've been neat to witness that, and like you say it reminded me a of slot car. It was stuck to the track for sure.

Lets see 24 of them in a 25 lap shootout. It will either be a heckuva race or a crash fest!...most likely the latter!

They used to do this in Alabama years ago, and Ronnie Johnson won most of em, it was fun to watch...
