FAST FACTS
Race: The 37th Annual Alabama State Championships will be race #13 & #14 for the 2015 Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series Season. The twin 40 lap races will pay $4,000 to win $400 to start.

Procedure: The starting field is set for 24 cars, including provisional’s. All cars will qualify in White Performance Group qualifying for starting positions with 8-10 cars locked in depending on car count. PPM Racing Products B Mains to determine up to 22 starters with the final two spots for highest 2 drivers in the 2015 Southern All Star Dirt Racing Final points standings that have not made the event.

Tire Rule: Hoosier 1350, 1450, 1600, 21, 55, 70, Lucas 03, 05, 06, 1640.

Around 300 total cars. Bit of a shocker in super qualifying, 9 Croft 15.24 fastest overall! 116 Weaver fastest in group A at 15.31. Sprinkles are back. 29 Supers today, a few left & few new ones.

Sprinkles are gone ...light rain is here. 55 Dudley & k9 went to the tail for flats before they actually got going. Driving around, not racing 5 Lewis leads.

5 Thomas Lewis wins over 88 Ogletree in limited. A promising day has went in the crapper!

Rain stopped. Even saw the sun. Bomber marathon feature to 14 Miller over 17 McDaniel. Duell wrecked someone & was black flagged. Spun on purpose at the line & flipped the bird to the officials. Drove backwards on the track, was chased by Sheriffs, & eventually pulled off. Officials argued over what to do. Wasted 10-15 minutes. Supers next.

55 Nowell leading crate got into lapped 45? Car & cut a tire. Now 55 Dudley leading.

Dudley wins crate feature over 5 Dykes. Hobby feature to 5 sapp. Another one that would never end. After saying no breaks all weekend, you guessed it, track prep (concession sales) time. Off to Dinner!

To clear it up, Madden & Weaver each won once & was 2nd the other race. So they tied for the Al.state champion. They finished the feature, weighed, then came back to the front stretch. Crowd noise determined the pick of where to start a 2 lap shootout. It was louder for Madden & he picked the top. Weaver got the lead from the bottom & won. Therefore, Weaver is THE Alabama State Champion.

Feature finish was 116,44m,19,r1,77,44c. Ames & Clint may have switched. Good weekend. Now save my marriage, clean my lungs out, & get ready for the Lucas Dixie & Rome double.
