I think this was in his plans so he can concentrate on teck support an feedback of his longhorn copy chassis.

So what would he mean by semi-retirement? Like just running the 30k+ races and nothing else?

It's almost impossible to run a successful chassis business and be a full-time traveling owner and driver. You can build chassis until your 90 but you can't race that long. He's making a very smart move for his racing career to keep the money going in the right direction. He could race until he was 70 if he wanted but his results would decline and the chassis business wouldn't grow. Most of these guys don't exactly have a 401K to fall back on. This is the right move for someone in his position.

Well atleast he not fully retiring...i agree matt, he will do good on chassic building his name sale them by its self... i wonder, if he going help jr out more? It be sweet if he can talk to birky into racing and pay for is ride.
