I have a DMI Quick Change, I'm trying to cross the pinion seal to something at a local parts store. DMI's Part# is RRC-1002. Winters Part# is 802-7204T, AllStars part# is 72143. They dont make this seal, they have to be getting it from someone. Ya I know, just get it from them, but it has become a challenge for me now, and I love a challenge. Anyone been able to cross it to something?

I believe that seal is the .375 wide seal. I need the .750 wide seal. I just cant understand what the big secret is? When you call all anyone will say is we will send you one, ask where they get them from and nothing, lol

I looked at the seal I had and it had numbers on it. I went to google and typed it in and started searching around. Do you see numbers on the seal? Might need a magnifying glass. I did the same thing with the KSE seals for the tandem pumps.

Ya, that would be to easy, lol No numbers on metal ring, only thing on it is embossed into the rubber seal in Tiger1 and on the other side is the number 2. Both the Bulldog pinion plate and my Wehrs pinion J bar plate have the same seal, and only have Tiger1 on the seal. I guess I should just break down and but it from them, lol

Any good veteran parts guy should be able to interchange that. They have a parts book with all the specs of those seals in the back. You'll probly have to go to a Napa, not Auto Zone, Advance (they generally hire the minimum wage kids).

Or you can look here and do it yourself, if you have it out of the car and can mic it.http://www.timken.com/en-us/products/documents/seal-specification-guide.pdf

A local power and transmission shop will be able to measure the old one and match it up.
You don't get answers cause then you won't buy from the vendors.

It's just business....
