Rains Postpone Tarheel 50 to Thursday, October 29th at Tri-County Race Track

BRASSTOWN, NC (October 2, 2015)—Heavy overnight rains and more in the forecast have forced promoter Ray Cook at Tri-County Race Track to postpone the 12th Annual Tarheel 50 sanctioned by the Southern Nationals Bonus Series presented by Collins Signs that was scheduled for tonight to its new date of Thursday October 29th.
The entire program that will consist of the Southern Nationals Bonus Series running for $3,500-to-win along with the Limited/Crate Late Models racing for $600 to win and a $200 bonus to the highest finishing Crate, the Interstate Welding Modified Streets $400 to win and the Pony division racing for $300 to win. The 2nd Annual Street Stock Shootout that was postponed from September will be ran paying $500-to-win. This will be the final racing event of the season for Tri-County Race Track on Thursday October 29th.
The next event for Tri-County Race Track will be October 16/17 with Monster Trucks, a Demolition Derby and the Tuff Truck contest. More information on the October 16/17 events plus the Tarheel 50 on October 19th at Tri-County Race Track can be obtained by visiting www.TriCountyRaceTrack.com.
The Southern Nationals Bonus Series will now focus attention to the Bluegrass State of Kentucky as the tour rolls into the Ponderosa (Ky.) Speedway on October 8-10 for the 25th Annual Fall Classic 100 paying $25,000-to-win and $1,000-to-start and will be the richest dirt late model racing in the history of the track and series. Practice will be on Thursday October 8th and Qualifying along with Heat Races will be on Friday Night October 9th and the Last Chance Races followed by the 100-lap main event will be on Saturday Night October 10th.
