I recently purchased a 2012 Piece clamp car. We are new to modified racing and are in the midst of the forest when it comes to rear end design/geometry. Car is currently setup with spring bucket clamps and swivel jacks. I noticed a few cars were running with bearing sliders on the LR and I was curious what the opinions are over the cups/swivels. If your running a slider what brackets did you use and do see/feel any advantage? Thanks in advance.

have ran both before ..Don't think there is any advantage with the slider.. (its just another thing that can break or bind up in my opinion)

do you guys believe that ump tires vs imca tires make a difference with clampedor floated? I believe the clamp is more forgiving and the floated can become inconsistent at times

Clamped is definitely more forgiving. Run it as a 4/z as pierce intended and you'll love it. They are very good driving cars.
