What is the best option to reduce loose in just at the time off throttle? Car's rear steps out too much at the moment drive lifts then can't get it back under.

LF spring? Wedge? Shorten wheel base on RR?

I've tried a combination of things which has helped but he feels it need another 30% tighter.

You can go as high as 650-700 on that left front spring

Sounds to me like you're loosing traction because of engine braking...I'm guessing this is a big high-compression motor.
Try a softer 6th coil spring or stiffen the rebound on the 5th coil shock if that's an option. Both will help this condition.

J Bar is std position on pinion one up from bottom,
LF is a 450lbs spring
Crate engine turning up to 6800 rpm generally (but I have considered pulling some gear)

A 450 is about the softest you would ever run over there ... Try a 550... Or take out that mega compression open engine out that the crate guru suggested you have ... The 550 is a real adjustment that is guaranteed to effect the condition you are experiencing ... It might be too much but going 100lbs will show the driver what it does ...

Would like nothing more than to run open motors but can't afford the quality engines and the ones I have built on a budget don't hold together long enough.

Lf spring is a very good adjustment for entry handling.

What's the rest of your setup. You have a lot of options. You definitely want the crate car to be free but you also want it to drive very very straight. Is the attitude of the car right? Can you stand to have it better in other areas? Most any change will be a compromise even the LF spring with the packages we have these days. You can add some LF compression. Take out some RF compression. Take out some RR compression. Jbar up on frame or down on pinion. Shorten RS bars if you are on the neutral free side elsewhere or the car is yawed out. You need to decide if it's too much rear steer or no sidebite and scotch up on the RR. You can also drop the Right lower bar a hole. So many options. Soften 6th coil to a 350 if it's not already. We found on the rocket if your too far back it will wrap the pinion hard and cause an entry issue. You can also add 5th rebound. Some of the LR shock options can actually hold in rear steer more and add to your problem. Really think hard about which problem you have in the rear

LF 450 spring rubber added at times
RF 300-325
LR 125
RR 250
5th 250
6th 450
53.8 % rear
53.8 % left
60 lbs bite
J bar 9" frame one hole up pinion

Overall car is good, but need to be tentative going into turn coming out of throttle. 4 wheel all front braking

6th should be a 350 that could be a lot of it

lf but entry only,rr spring entire corner(but will help turn off also,in the slick it helps),or rr bottom bar if you can go down
if the car is really good until feature,i would start with the rr bottom bar
you can build a shock to help this too but if the lf is coming down fast or slamming, you'll have to fix that first, which may cause you to have to change your complete setup
