I've had my accommodations for a long time but a recent effort to find a place for a friend at a reasonable price and distance (without breaking the bank) hasn't turned up much of anything.
Oh well, two nights of all the racing one can bear might make him camp in his vehicle!

I am going for the first time this year and bringing dear ole dad along. If he didn't have about a million Hilton points to burn I'd have just slept in my SUV. Did it in Columbus a few weeks ago, worked out great.

You'll have a ball. Be prepared for cold, regardless of what the Weather Channel might say. Lots ad lots of activity just down Bruton Smith Boulevard (next to I-85). The races there and the ensuing activities are like a trip to the World Series or Super Bowl.

Apparently the World Series of Bridge is taking place the same weekend in Charlotte and hotels are impossible to find.....

Plus the North-South Shootout is right down the road at Concord Motorsports Park, a large race for asphalt modifieds and super late models, which will fill a lot of motels as well.

The Panthers also have a home game on Sunday which has some motel rooms as well, I booked last week at the Sleep Inn on Billy Graham Parkway which is around 20 miles away for 89 a night....

I guess you could stay at the Great Wolf Lodge next Thursday, Friday, and Saturday for about $1200! LOL!

There's a Hampton Inn not too far down 85 in Belmont. Good location not sure of price
