Rocket raised crossmember...what all changes?

Looking to update my blue/grey rocket with a raised crossmember. I have been told both, I have to switch racks, and some say you don't. Which is true? Does anything else change? What is a roundabout cost for this update? Thanks

My buddy took his 08 to get front clipped after a bad wreck. He got the cross member put in for an extra $300. Also running the same rack

I also have 08 blue car. Had cross member updated last year best move we made. No more bottoming out and tearing up bumpers. Can't remember what it cost. I think 300-500 with parts? Used same rack

Was around $700 to change ours, including the new style skid plate. Still using the same rack. Money well spent!

Same rack, on some racks you do have to either buy or relocate the lines so they clear not a big deal...
