Alex Bright win's the A-main at preliminary night #1 at The Chili Bowl. Kyle Larson, who led until around half way, had a back marker spin in front of him which caused Larson to have to stop thus relegating him to the back of the A-main. He recovered to 9th but it's going to be a very tough go of it on Saturday night. The A-main saw intense action from start to finish among the top 4 cars. Joey Saldana and Zack Daun were 2nd & 3rd respectively so they're locked into the Saturday night A-main.
Tanner Thorson won the Race of Champions with Larson 2nd. This was very good race with the flip of Sammy Swindell drawing the biggest cheer.
All in all night one was about as good as dirt track racing can get. But that's what we've grown to expect at The Chili Bowl.
