The preliminary nights are over and now it's time for the Saturday Chili Bowl version of alphabet soup.
Brian Clauson won tonight's 25 lap A-main and Tim McCreadie was second and Kasey Kahne was 3rd. All are locked into Saturday night's 55 lap A-main. Very good racing in tonight's A-main for 2nd 3rd and 4th. The pole dash elimination process was interesting but the track had widened out to the point that the car on the inside pretty much had the advantage.
The rest of the field will be set starting Saturday morning at 9:30 AM when hot laps begin. I reckon the alphabet soup will begin at around 10:30 am.
This has been a memorable week of racing in more ways than one. Shane Coc krum from Southern Illinois was disqualified and escorted from the building for driving a car tonight to attempt to qualify when he raced in a prelim night earlier in the week. I guess Lanny & Emmett took an extremely dim view of (not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)rum trying to pull that off.
This week has gone fast and there has been some incredibly good racing every night but Tuesday night was the best.
1 more night and it's all over for another year!
