Me and a couple buddies went down to Golden Isles for the first time this weekend, and I would have to say that it was a great experience. Bummed the rain came and we had a six hour trek ahead of us the next day or we would've stayed for the Sunday race.
I think they did a great job with the racing surface, it was very fast and multi grooved.
The track people were very nice and accommodating for me and my pals. Had a wonderful time.
The hotel was about 10 mins away, so it was perfect all around, as opposed to last year when we had to drive like 45 minutes to a hotel at Screven (that is not a knock on the track at all, just location)
I think we are going to try and do speedweeks a little different next year, either east bay or volusia, depending on what the dates are.
