Southern All Stars Set Two Dates For Return To Thunderhill Raceway
FAYETTEVILLE, TN—The Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series is adding two more races to the 2016 schedule as series officials and track owner Ricky Spurgeon have come to agreement to host the Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series for a pair of $4,000 to win events on Saturday night May 7th and Saturday night September 3rd along with a full racing program.
The Southern All Stars have run two events at the 1/3 mile high banked oval located in Summertown, TN., just north of Lawrenceburg, TN., in its 33 years of racing with the most recent visit was in 2001 when Byron Michael of Florence, AL., took the win and then in 1992 as Johnny Williams of Lexington, TN., scored the win.
“This is a great addition to our schedule for the 2016 season, we have been racing at the Tennessee National Raceway in Hohenwald for the past two years and now with the addition of dates at Thunderhill this will give the fans, drivers and sponsors in the west Tennessee area a chance to see the Southern All Stars at least three times during the season”. Said Southern All Star GM Lynn Acklin.
Drivers from around the area that will likely compete in these events include Dane Dacus, Mark Fields, Eric Hickerson, Brad Skinner, Josh Putnam, Scott Shelton, David Seibers, Perry Delaney, Cale Finley, Oakley Johns, Donald Johns plus many more.
