Worst. (Fayette county) absolute worst ran fair board track. Bad surface ,bad prep.bad restrooms, falling down drunk fans better Than the show. (2) Shadyhill. Flat, sand, n grandstands suck, Food is good. (3)Red Hill (closed) nuff said. (4)Charleston. Another bad fair board track. Ain't put 20 bucks in the place in years. (5)Kamp. They try.. just a bad racing surface. BEST. (1)FAIRBURY..Jewel of midwest. (2) Tri-city getting better pretty racy. (3) Farmercity another decent ran fair board track. Bad sight lines in corners. (Macon) Always racy but what do u expect on 1/5 mile. (5)Lasalle) Racy track nuthin much to brag about

Best track in Illinois in my opinion is Tri- city, Fairbury is good track, if prep right Spoon River is good track, Macon is a good track, Jacksonville is a good track, Lincoln is a good track. For me really no bad track some are just better then others for a variety of reason.

no way possible to answer this one.... until you have been to ALL of them.... period!
Allen Brown might be about the closest person you will find (National Speedway Directory) and I bet he would not be bad-mouthing any track.... :)

racenut Whats up FarmerCity and Fairbury are the best .....Bad tracks don't slam tracks I don't go too... and them 2 is the only tracks I still try too go too.....
...
ADD: KKK bad track that I don't go too no more.. But its more on who runs it then the track it self....

Spoon River could be one of the best in the Midwest. It seems to be hit and miss.

Gundakers do a great job at Tri City.

Fairbury, enough said.

One of my favorites...Lincoln. something about them horse tracks:Dmaybe it's the poop?

You might be onto something. Jim the horse guy at Lincoln runs his horses just about every morning. Highside you will have to ask a Norm about Jim the next time you see him

For me living in the Midwest, I feel super lucky!!! We have so many really good options! When I travel people ask and talk about my area all the time.

I've been very fortunate to race all over the country and I can honestly say that some of the best tracks in the U.S. are right there in the Midwest. I've never left a track around there and said I'm never coming back, at least not because of the surface. To be honest the only track I've left from and said no way I'm coming back is Lonestar down in Texas, what a craphole place.

If you count just the track and the racy ness of it....Monett speedway is hard to beat (SW Mo). The facility is a dump but the track is awesome. Ive seen some dandys in that joint. I wish someone would buy it and doll it up. Thats a great 1/3 mile hi bank. Tri City is very nice. I miss the big half mile they had though. Lucas Oil is basically Donald Trump goes dirt racing. The place is ridiculously nice. Your car never touches dirt until you drive on track. Every amentity you can imagine. It tends to one groove alot though. Now as far as I55... Its not that great folks. Really, I dont get the hype. Its an ok facility, but the racing? Its mediocre.

East Moline/Quad City Speedway can be a great track with the right track prep. Haven't been in years but back in the 90's it was a great track.
