It would be nice but they won't get that many cars. 40-45 is more realistic.

Having never been to Atomic Speedway I am considering a trip down for this race. What can I expect? Do they run a timely show? Any thoughts on were is the best place to sit? Do they have plenty of seating and parking or do I need to get there early? Does the track stay racy most of the night or do they have to redo it prior to the features?

In looking at the website I see they allow small coolers. Are they running modifieds and late models only that night or will they add another class or two? What is there weather policy? Do they make all attempts possible to race or do they call it off early? Thanks for any information.

Atomic is one of my local tracks. They normally don't mess around as far as getting things done. There really isn't a bad seat in the house I don't think I'd get there early though, parking....ehhh it can be a hassle getting out every now and then, mainly because there's only one road in and out. I'd be prepared to sit on the highway out of the race track for a few mins after the race, but that's the nature of the beast I feel like there. Weather.....if Brad thinks he can get the show in, itll happen. We had a foot of snow last year a week before this show, and they got it in, it actually surprised me they got it in. Track was a lil rough but it was a good race. To me the track stays pretty racey, I seen 6 or 7 good ones up there last year, and I probably made it up there around 10 times. I don't see them adding another class, they'll run mods only and get the crowd and late model guys put of there early as possible due to most of them traveling to b'town the next night.

Hopefully this helps with your decision.

Thanks zyoung25. Yes it does. Always helps when locals can give a good report on the local race track. Since I have about a 3 1/2 hour drive I want to make sure that I leave in plenty of time to get a decent seat. The trip home will be difficult if they race into the wee hours of the morning. Glad to hear they run a timely show and with only two classes that is what helps make the decision. So many tracks are now running 4,5 and even 6 classes. Not for me. Thanks again.

This place is good for that every now and then haha. But I understand where you're coming from. Been there a lot myself.

I'm thinking I was back home by midnight last year, it's right at an hour away for me, but i took my time leaving and let things kinda clear out. Leaving is the only thing that is pain about the place, but its not the tracks fault. Hope ya go and have fun!

Haven't been in quite sometime due to 3hr drive but place has always been bad ass! The banking is impressive, the seating is great. Watch a 410 race there, wow! They don't lift in qualifying. If weather looks good I'll be driving south. Finding fastest way thru/around c-bus is most critical thing

And don't forget they have great food in the concession stand. Always get my cheese stick fix there. Glad to say I'm a season ticket holder at the best 3/8 track in the world. Just park close to entrance and you'll get out just fine.

I prefer 36/37 over to 71 down to 270 East 1 exit to 23 South. 42 to 270 ain't bad but also used to use 315 to 71. 270 around seems outta the way and Delaware to 270 is horrible!

If you're going around, you definitely wanna go 270 around the west side, not the east side. And Circleville I'm not sure what's your best way around. It blows too. But I come from Lancaster, so it's 159 to by Kenworth and get on 23 south. Bypassing Circleville.

Atomic was pretty good when I went to this race last year. The effort they made to get the race in was an A. Over a foot of snow a couple weeks before this race last year. And $1500 to win for mods, if weather isn't bad, it'll be a good show. One of my top tracks, really like it.

For all fans coming from the north remember getting out of the track it would help traffic wise if you would turn left out of the track and turn right on Mt Tabor Rd over to right on Rozelle Creek Rd to get to US 23.

I'd say around 50-55 cars Atomic averages around 25 cars each night on the regular shows.

I know it isn't made clear on their website etc, but there is reserved seating for the race. I reserved my seats last night, and I had to move down a few because my usual ones I get were taken.

First of all thanks for all the information that you guys provided. I made my first trip to Atomic and it certainly won't be my last. I enjoyed the show and I was impressed with the track as well as the large crowd on hand on a chilly night. The only negative was how long it took to get out of the parking lot. It was my fault for not parking closer to the gate but it seemed like a very long time to get out of there even with the police aiding the exit from the track.
