Senoia Raceway will crank up it's season this Saturday, March 5th with racing action scheduled for Super Late Models, Limited Late Models, Crate Late Models, B Cadets, Hobby Stock, Bomber and Mini Stock. The 3/8ths mile 'bull ring' hosted an open practice this past weekend debuting the new odd colored gray gumbo clay that was placed on the surface two weeks ago.

"It is fast and tricky," said track promoter Mayes Massey. "It was fun to watch the drivers try to find their fast groove last weekend. They were racing on the top side, bottom side and a few were side sliding through the middle to make passes."

The second year team of Mayes Massey, Bill Massey and Doug Stevens completed the extensive research on available clay in Georgia by trucking in the gray colored clay from southern Georgia. The reduced level of sand and mica provides a high content of clay which should create a more racey surface for the drivers and less dust for the fans. If Saturday night's practice was any indication, drivers and fans are in for a treat this season at Senoia Raceway.

Saturday night's program begins with the pits opening at 3pm. Grandstand gates open at 5pm with hot laps set for 7pm. Racing will begin at 7:30pm.

Pit passes are $25; 5-12 are $12; Four & under are free.

Grandstand tickets are $12; 5-12 are $5; Four & under are free.

Senoia Raceway is located just five miles west of Senoia, GA on Georgia Highway 16. Easy access from both Interstate 75 and Interstate 85.
