Smoky Mountain Speedway Reschedules Open Practice for Thursday March 10th

MARYVILLE, Tenn. – March 3, 2016 – Officials with the Smoky Mountain Speedway regretfully have to postpone the open practice session scheduled for this Saturday. The practice session, open to any division, will be held next Thursday March 10th to jump start the Tennessee Tipoff Classic presented by Hard Rock Café which goes Friday and Saturday March 11 and 12.
Next Thursday’s practice session will be from 6:00 until 9:00 pm and the pits will open at 5:00 pm. Cost per person in the pit area will be $20.00 while the stands will be free to any spectators.
The practice session was originally scheduled for this Saturday March 5th but due to an illness in the management’s family, officials have decided to reschedule for next Thursday. The track management regrets any inconvenience this may cause.
The Old Man’s Garage Spring Nationals will sanction the Third Annual Tennessee Tipoff Classic presented by Hard Rock Café of Pigeon Forge, Tenn. next Friday and Saturday March 11-12 paying $15,000-to-win, a record win amount this season. Friday’s action will see qualifying and heat races for the Spring Nationals Late Models followed by Saturday’s action consisting of Last Chance Races, a Non-Qualifiers race (for more than 40 cars entered) and the 75-lap main event. The Sportsman will join the action racing for $2,000-to-win in a full show on Friday Night and the Street Stocks will race on Saturday only competing for $2,000-to-win.
