I traded for what was supposed to be a black front rocket according to previous owner, but after hours and hours of digging on the net and emailing Rocket i got a response of... nothing that we built sorry... now im hoping i can get some help here. Front spindles both measure at 8.75", center to center on lower a arm mounts measure at 17.75". the way the steering rack is set up now it is 19.25 bolt to bolt. maybe someone out there can give me an idea or lead me in a direction of what this thing is. New to the forum and new to racing world so any help will be greatly appreciated!

Other than it has the wrong rack on it, that info won't tell us a lot. We will need pictures.

I would take a few pics from further away. I think most chassis are relatively identifiable by the main cage, main hoop (vertical), or around the feet/pedals area. But while I'm not very well versed in different manufacturers, my instinct on what I'm seeing here would most likely be homemade. Most certainly based on the cross member, and the radiator "support". Hmmm....I'm intrigued though. What's the distance center to center of the lower control arm mounts (where they bolt to the cross member)? The correct width rack is probably going to be a little wider than that measurement. It's odd (at least to me), that the rack body is mounted to the left. Any car I've had has had it bolted to the right so you can eventually turn further to the right than left.

Hmmm....so who makes a spindle thats 8.75 for both sides? how does one even know what kind of parts to buy for the thing? just throw money out and hope i get something that works. wanted to get into racing for years now, but just my luck, i find the car of many pieces lol

Don't get too discouraged right off the bat. I'd look at it the opposite way. Anyone can make any spindle they want and anyone can bolt any spindle to any chassis. You need to find out what chassis it is (if indeed identifiable) and go from there. When I bought a used MasterSbilt a few years ago it ended up having some jacked up TWM spindles on it that probably fit a Rocket or something. When I called MasterSbilt and gave them the measurements they were like "Huh???" At least the chassis was identifiable by it's number and I was able to order the correct front end parts based on that. Obviously my opinion but I'd look at the safety/usefulness of what you have first. If you are confident with that get some measurements on the front end (distances of control arm mounts, heights of mounts, etc.) and go from there. You could probably come up with something at least close.

nothing like winging it! might be something that works good who knows. as long as i can get my feet wet and make some laps ill be happy for a little bit, im to competitive to hang out in the back to long if i can help it lol. the car looked to be safe as far as cage and couldn't find any bad spots other than a rough weld or two on the front. it ran 2 seasons ago but only had a 350ci in it supposedly so they probably never found its pros and cons to the odd suspension.

Pix of the rear suspension, cage, etc. would help the knowledgeable members here to help ID the car.

Looks like a late 90s or early 2000s Warrior. They didn't start putting chassis numbers on until 06 so it makes sense that there would be no number. I had an 02 and an 04 and they all used round tube for the uprights for the upper control arms and it is very similar structure-wise. Their website has a lot of helpful info.

my 02 and 04 warriors had numbers very lightly stamped on the steering column mount

It does favor a late 90's or early 2000's Warrior. It Might be a Fast Chassis that Jeff Treace built after he left Warrior. I had one of those cars an really liked it. It had the GRT 96 black spindals with the short arms. It was similar to a GRT in the front and had a Warrior rear clip. Well that's what mine looked like.

He told me it took rayburn front parts but never had to get any for it so he didnt know what years to buy for. What other builders used rayburn front stuff? the left side is a 1 piece lower, and the right side is a 2 piece lower.

It may be a Fast chassis mine took charcoal grey but rayburn wouldn't sell me one he wanted to sell me a purple. Got a hold of his spindal guy and that's when he told. me that those early GRT spindals were the same geometry but the charcoal grey had a shorter steering mount. He then told me afco had a set of GRT spindals with the short steering.

Pics of the back half, 4 link brackets and shock mounts, etc. The bolt on stuff is inconclusive, as it may be incorrect for the chassis.
