The Super Late Models join the 410 Sprint Cars to open Williams Grove Speedway’s 77th season on Dieffenbach’s Kettle Chips night.

The Super Late Models will join the Lawrence Chevrolet 410 Sprint Cars to kick off Williams Grove Speedway’s 77th season at the historic Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania half mile. Opening night festivities will take place on Friday, March 18th with the start time slated for 7:30. The inaugural event of 2016 is presented by Dieffenbach’s Kettle Chips and will find the 410 Sprint Cars vying for the $3,800 first place prize along with the return of the popular Super Late Models which will find the area’s best going door to door for the $2,000 winner’s share. Heats and B-Mains will set the 24 car starting fields in their respective divisions. Danny Dietrich picked up the opening night win in 2015 for the Lawrence Chevrolet 410 Sprint Cars while Nick (not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)son brought home the victory in the Super Late Models only 2015 appearance.

The 2016 opening night will have a little homemade taste added to it as Berks County’s own Dieffenbach’s Kettle Chips will be sponsoring the night’s events. Established in 1964, Dieffenbach’s Kettle Chips still offers today the same homemade taste and crunch of delicious potato chips to their customers. Their fine chips come in many flavors including the Old Fashion taste that will take you on a trip down memory lane. Other favors include Sweet Potato, Mesquite Bar-B-Q, Sour Cream & Onion, Salt & Vinegar and Jalapeno. They invite you to visit their country store located at 51 Host Road in Womelsdorf and experience a taste of country goodness. Check them out at www.dieffenbachs.com for more information about Dieffenbach’s Kettle Chips and their fine products, along with where to purchase them.

“We are very happy to have Dwight Zimmerman and Dieffenbach’s Kettle Chips involved with our opening night” stated Speedway General Manager Justin Loh. “They are a local company that has a lot of tradition behind their product and that is a perfect fit with all the tradition and history we have here at the Speedway. They will have a display set up in the infield with their products and I encourage everyone to stop by and check them out” added Loh.

Opening night is just the first of three Super Late Model appearances in 2016 as they also will return the following Friday (March 25th) for the 2nd annual Williams Grove/ Hagerstown Speedway Shoot-out which will see guaranteed starting spots for June’s Appalachian Mountain Late Model Speedweek awarded to the winners. The high powered stock cars then return on October 7th for a big “Run what ya brung” show that is slated to be an entertaining end to a great year of racing.
