Palmetto State Championship Saturday Night March 19 At Lancaster Speedway.

Lancaster Speedway will play host to their 62nd annual season opener on Saturday March 19th with the inaugural running of the Palmetto State Championship.

The card will feature a unique lineup of racing events. The Carolina Clash Super Late Models will battle for a $5,000 first place check, while the Super Stock, Renegade and SECA Sportsman drivers will compete for $1,000 to win in each of those events. The Xtreme Four (FWD) division will compete for a $500 prize.

"Lancaster Speedway has needed a 'signature' race for quite some time and we think we have the perfect event planned to do just that," said owner Doug McManus. “We are going to feature the divisions that support us every week and reward those guys with some record setting purses!”

"We want this event to grow each year and start the season off with a bang", said McManus. "Most tracks end the season with a special event, we want to kick it off with a barn burner ever year!"

Lancaster Speedway is the oldest race track in South Carolina and is located at 1223 Shiloh Unity Road in Lancaster, SC. For more information please visit www.lancastersuperspeedway.com
