Ponderosa Speedway 2016 Season Opener Now Moved to Friday April 29
Junction City, KY-March 29, 2016- Ponderosa Speedway track promoter Jerry Denson has had to make the decision to delay the start of the 2016 racing season at the 3/8 mile D-shaped red clay oval better known as “Kentucky’s Baddest Bullring” due to ongoing state mandated electrical work.
The track apologizes for the delay in the scheduled opening of the 2016 racing season, but until the state mandated electrical updates are completed and receive the proper inspections, the track cannot be in operation.
The 2016 season is now currently set to begin on Friday April 29 with the 4th Annual Spring Showdown that will feature the Ray Cook promoted Old Man’s Garage Spring Nationals in competition, with Super Late Models racing for $4,000 to win, along with a full racing program for Pro Late Models, Modifieds, KDRA Super Stocks, and Mini-Cup/Cyclones.
Ponderosa Speedway is located at 365 Phillips Lane on the Boyle/Lincoln County border, outside of Junction City, KY, just minutes from Danville, KY. Jerry Denson is the track promoter.
