Riley Hickman Scores Pair of Super Late Model Wins in Tennessee

Cleveland, Tennessee (03/30/16) – Riley Hickman carried his early-season momentum into action over the weekend and came away with a pair of Super Late Model wins to show for his efforts in his Hickman Manufacturing #R1 Lazer Chassis.

On Friday night Riley Hickman visited Boyd’s Speedway (Ringgold, Georgia) and was one of fourteen Super Late Model registered for competition. Capturing a heat race win over Craig Burrows, Hickman earned the pole position for the feature. Hickman would go on to hold off John Ownbey in the finale to claim his fourth win of the season. Ownbey, Todd Hernandez, Rick Hixson, and Mike Tinker rounded out the top five.

Making the short trip to Cleveland Speedway (Cleveland, Tennessee) on Saturday night, Riley Hickman was competing in two-separate divisions during the 20th Annual Shamrock Twin 40’s. Battling for a $2,000 payday in the Super Late Model division, Hickman reeled in his fifth win of the season with Jamie Perry John Ownbey, Jesse Lowe, and Cruz Skinner completing the top five.

In the Crate Late Model ranks, Hickman came up one spot short with a 2nd-place finish behind Jamie Perry with Jerry Coffman, Jordon Horton, and Ethan Hunter trailing them to the finish line.

“This was a really great weekend, and even better it was really close to home,” joked Hickman. “I’ve been really impressed with this new Lazer Chassis so far, and I’m excited to see what all we can accomplish with it this year.”
