Whats the purpose of putting chain on rt and left on a 3 link

To limit the amount of drop for each side of the rearend.

On a 4bar car, I would think it would work the same on a 2 bar. If you chain the RR it's to keep the chassis from climbing off the RR spring on to the bar(s). Chaining the RR down can tighten the car pretty good but only recommend doing it on a smooth track. You can chain the RR down to ride height if you want but the track better be like glass or it will upset the car when it hits a bump. I would start at around 1" of drop in the RR and go from there.

I chain my RR on my 3 link car. But the only reason is so I don't have to carry more jackstands. lol
