Brandon Kinzer Opens ‘16 Season at Brownstown; Readies for Spring Nationals Two Step

(ALLEN, KENTUCKY) Brandon Kinzer and his #18 team kicked off their version of the 2016 racing season on Saturday evening, April 23 at the legendary Brownstown Speedway in Brownstown, Indiana! The Ultimate Battle of the Bluegrass Series presided over the action at the 1/4-mile fairgrounds facility and a $3,000 payday was on the line. Debuting a Longhorn chassis from the shop of Randy Weaver, Brandon clicked off the second quickest time in his group during the qualifying session prior to scoring the victory in his heat race.

After starting from the outside of the front row in the 30-lap headliner, Brandon went too hard on tires, which caused steering to be an issue throughout the feature. At the end of his season opener, BK was relegated to a sixteenth place performance. Complete results can be obtained by clicking on www.brownstownspeedway.com.

The Kinzer Motorsports team will jump right back into dirt-slinging competition over the upcoming April 29-30 weekend in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. The Old Man’s Garage Spring Nationals tour will preside over a pair of weekend events at Ponderosa Speedway in Junction City, Kentucky and Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky. Brandon will vie for the $4,000 winner’s check Friday at “The Pond,” while a $5,000 top prize will be up for grabs at Florence on Saturday.
