Cory Hedgec ock Vaults to Volunteer Checkers; Richmond Raceway Next
Loudon, Tennessee (06/22/16) – Over the weekend Cory Hedgec ock once again found himself in victory lane with his Brucebilt Performance Rocket Chassis #23 Smithbilt Homes Steel Head Late Model. His latest conquest came on Friday night at Volunteer Speedway, where he registered his 11th victory of the season.
Piloting his Sweet Trucking Co. #23 Steel Head Late Model, Cory Hedgec ock traveled to Volunteer Speedway (Bulls Gap, Tennessee) on Friday night for a Weekly Racing Series Event. Posting the third fastest time in qualifying, Hedge(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word) earned a 2nd-row starting spot for the feature. After running in 3rd for the majority of the finale, Cory made his charge for the lead late in the race, successfully capturing his 11th victory of the season with a last-lap pass. Jason Trammell, Greg Estes, Josh Henry, and Bobby Mays trailed Hedgec ock to the checkers in the 30-lap A-Main.
The following night brought twenty cars to Cochran Motor Speedway (Cochran, Georgia) for the $4,000-to-win NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series event. Timing in 7th fastest, Hedgec ock locked into the 7th-starting spot for the feature. Gaining one spot in the 50-lapper, Cory notched a 6th-place finish.
