With this NEW rules committee that DIRT,LUCAS,CHASSIS, ECT we heard so much about be involved ALL TIRE TEST go thru them to review results plus have both labs dirt which is only a 85.00 dollars test and Lucas lab 460 ish? As I understand cross test so we are sure no there are no doubt when the committee drops the hammer!! Not sure why this wouldn't be an option even now

You didn't hear???? It was decided that it wasn't necessary ......the way it's been done for the last ten years is perfect and needs no tweaks.

We shouldn't hear one more thing about tires and testing anymore, ever.
Everybody is satisfied with the process.

this is the easiest fix in the world but everyone involved can't get along
1 buy the tires at the track, theres no time for soaking
2 no grooving or siping, grinding only
3 playing field now leveled
this is on the bigger shows

Don't know of I'd get rid of the grooving part. That's not an issue.

It needs some tweeks. I mean Birky was never caught and his career was built on soft tires...

That's not what the car owner said. He said some were bought at the track, others were bought from hoosier up where he lives..... it's right in the article on dirt on dirt.

But I thought they all cheat?.......you guys have all said so........really can't have it both ways.
And I loved Billy moyers" I'm 100% clean" and race that way for my sponsors comment.....sorry Billy, you got dqd for being illegal at one of the biggest dirt races in the country...........that 100% clean ship sailed years ago.

And fwiw, according to the experts tire dope isn't just about soft tires.

In the story you reference,Didn't he also say they peeled the sticker off at the track, grooved ,siped and mounted it at the track?

Not in favor of purchasing at track and I prefer being able to trick out my tires the way I want with the grinder and the iron. Level playing fields are boring, just look at crate. This is Super Late Model, The Elite, you either came ready to play or you didn't.

just because they purchased tires at the track doesn't mean anything. those tires could still be in their trailer unmounted. Buying tires at the track every night to race would be a little hard for most guys on a budget. Are you suppost to throw them away after one night. What if you break in hot laps. Alot of $ in tires down the drain. Just not feasible in my mind. But I'm sure Hoosier would love that rule.LOL
