Spring Smasher

When you are using the smasher say you have a Center to Center of 18 your goal load is 2350. Do you include your static weight in your 2350? What kind of gaps are people running these days on Duals? Seems like to get the far travels you have to either run a soft soft combined or a softer primary as well?

I think we were always somewhere around 1 7/16" We were always looking for about 2200 at your max travel, I know the number works pretty good but I have no idea why. Ive always been told to build a stack and set gap on 4" of travel. But I know some guys putting the small spring on the bottom and letting it coil bind and using that as your lock out. I tried it once and it felt the same as having the slider and lockout contraption.
