Mason Zeigler Tops Sam Barley Memorial; Tyler County Next

Chalk Hill, Pennsylvania (07/05/16) – Mason Zeigler piloted the Bryan Klinedinst-owned #43a Rocket XR1 Super Late Model to the $4,000 win in the Sam Barley Memorial at Dog Hollow Speedway on Sunday evening.

“I really want to thank the Klinedinst family for giving me such a great car,” said Zeigler. “This hot rod was really fast both nights, and then on Sunday night we were able to seal the deal. We’ve had our fair share of bad luck and struggles since Speedweeks so hopefully things are turning around for us.”

Competing in the Moon Shine Rt. 35 Series, Mason Zeigler headed to Port Royal Speedway (Port Royal, Pennsylvania) on Saturday night, back behind the wheel of the Bryant Klinedinst-owned #43a Super Late Model. Competing in a field of 27 entries, Zeigler landed a podium finish in the feature event. Following a heat race win, Mason battled with Jeff Rine for the top spot until settling with a runner-up finish behind Rine with Andy Haus, Tim Wilson, and Danny Snyder rounding out the top five.

The following night brought Zeigler to Dog Hollow Speedway (Strongstown, Pennsylvania) for the Sam Barley Memorial. Starting the night with another heat race win, Mason earned a front-row starting spot for the feature alongside Jared Miley. Jumping into the lead, Mason Zeigler stormed to his second win of the season, which came with a $4,000 payday. Matt Cosner, Tim Senic, Andy Fries, and Shawn Claar trailed Zeigler to the checkers.
