Gregg Satterlee Wins Winchester Ultimate Series Cash

Indiana, Pennsylvania (07/05/16) – Gregg Satterlee raced to the first Ultimate Late Model Series win of his career on Saturday night with a $5,000 triumph in the annual Red Nininger Memorial at Winchester Speedway. The victory came behind the wheel of his Satterlee Petroleum Distributors #22 Rocket Chassis XR1/ Durham Racing Engine Super Late Model.

Gregg Satterlee traveled to Bedford Speedway (Bedford, Pennsylvania) on Friday night for the unsanctioned Milt Miller Tribute. Posting the fastest time in a field of 22 entries, Satterlee earned the pole position for the $3,000-to-win A-Main. Losing two positions in the 30-lap feature, Gregg notched a 3rd-place finish behind Matt Cosner and Allen Brannon with Jason Covert and Jeff Rine rounding out the top five.

On Saturday night Satterlee headed to Winchester Speedway (Winchester, Virginia) for the Ultimate Super Late Model Series event. Drawing 20 cars for the Red Nininger Memorial, Gregg captured his fourth win of the season in the A-Main. Starting on the front row of the feature, Gregg Satterlee surged into the lead on lap 20 and went on to pocket the $5,000 payday. Jason Covert, Dale Hollidge, Jamie Lathroum, and Jason Miller trailed Gregg across the finish line in the 50-lapper.

“This place is definitely one of my favorite places to come race at, especially when it’s like this,” Satterlee said after scoring the victory at Winchester Speedway. “The last couple times we’ve been here it’s been real slow and slick … I definitely have to tip my hat to (promoter) Greg (Gunter) for preparing a good racetrack tonight. There was a little bit of cushion on both ends and you can pass.”

Satterlee rounded out the holiday weekend with an Ultimate Super Late Model Series event at Potomac Speedway (Budds Creek, Maryland) on Sunday evening. Satterlee would exit the $5,000-to-win finale early and was credited with a 17th-place finish.
