Billy Moyer Dominates Highland Speedway for Sixth Victory of 2016 Season!
(BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS) Dirt Late Model Hall of Famer Billy Moyer recorded his sixth feature win of the 2016 racing season in convincing fashion on Saturday night, July 9 at Highland Speedway in Highland, Illinois! Billy swept the UMP DIRTcar Summer Nationals program, as he laid down the quickest lap of the 30 entrants during the qualifying session prior to scoring the victory in heat race action. The popular driver known as "Mr. Smooth" then led all forty circuits in the 'Todd & Colleen Penrod Memorial' to score the $10,000 windfall over Devin Gilpin, Bobby Pierce, Chad Zobrist, and Jason Feger!
The Billy Moyer Racing (BMR) team also entered recent "Hell Tour" extravaganzas at Peoria Speedway in Peoria, Illinois and Farmer City Raceway in Farmer City, Illinois. On Wednesday night in a $5,000 to win battle at Peoria, Billy won his heat race and later placed fourth in the caution-free headliner to trail only winner Bobby Pierce, Kevin Weaver, and Jason Feger at the checkers. At Farmer City on Friday evening, the Batesville, Arkansas superstar ran second in his heat race and fifth in the $10,000 to win feature behind only victor Jason Feger, Ryan Unzicker, Tim Manville, and Devin Gilpin. Next up for the famed #21 team will be a pair of marquee Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series shows in the states of Illinois and Missouri on July 15-16. The doubleheader weekend with the national touring series will then wrap up with the $12,000 to win ‘CMH Diamond Nationals’ on Saturday evening at the pristine Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri.
