Cory Hedgec ock Conquers Crossville; Busy Week Ahead

Loudon, Tennessee (07/27/16) – Cory Hedgec ock rolled to his 14th win of the season on Friday night with a convincing triumph in his SmithBilt Homes Chassis #23 Eagle Racing/ Rocket Chassis Late Model at Crossville Speedway.

Behind the wheel of his Sweet Trucking #23 Crate Late Model, Cory Hedgec ock visited Crossville Raceway (Crossville, Tennessee) on Friday night for the Weekly Racing Series Event. Competing in a field of 16 cars, Hedgec ock started 4th in the feature. Ultimately receiving the front-row starting position after the many failed attempts at starting the race, Hedgec ock capitalized on the opportunity and cruised to his 14th win of the season, which came over Anthony White, Jesse Low, Josh Henry, and Rusty Ballinger.

On Saturday night Hedgec ock made a last minute decision to stop at 411 Motor Speedway (Seymour, Tennessee) after weather ruined his initial plans. Timing in 3rd-fastest in a field of 18 Steelhead Late Models, Cory earned the 3rd-starting position for the feature. Racing in the Top 5 throughout the A-Main, Hedgec ock posted a 3rd-place finish behind Trevor Sise and Matt Henderson with Gary Crittenden and Ruben Mayfield rounding out the Top 5 at the checkered flag.

Hedgec ock got an early jump on racing this week by entering the $3,500-to-win event with the Schaeffer’s Oil Southern Nationals at Boyd’s Speedway (Ringgold, Georgia) on Tuesday evening, July 26. With 35-entries on hand Cory advanced from his 20th-starting position to a 15th-place finish.
